This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
Your name, email and phone number, whatever you write in your profile or CV, and your listings if you are an employer. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name and email. We also record the time of your last sign-in and your IP address, for security, and we count when someone presses a job's apply button and how many times employers open a profile, so employers and job seekers can see how they are doing.
Why we collect it
To pass your application to the employer, to show you jobs that suit you, and to protect the platform from fraud and fake accounts. That is all.
Who can see it
When you apply for a job, that employer sees your name, contact details and CV. Apart from that, you decide who sees your profile: it starts as Private (only you and employers you apply to), and you can change it to Employers only or Public from your privacy settings. Employers can find you in candidate search only if you switch that on yourself. Your phone and email are never shown on a public profile. Our staff can see data only for review and handling reports.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
Files you upload
CVs and documents are stored in a location that cannot be opened directly from the internet, and are served only to someone entitled to see them.
Deleting your data
You can edit your details at any time from your profile. From My account you can download everything we hold about you in one file, and delete your account yourself whenever you want. Deleting is permanent: job seekers' profiles, CVs, applications and uploaded files are removed; for employers, their company pages, jobs and the applications those jobs received are removed. If you have trouble, write to us and we will do it for you.
Jobs posted by our team
To help job seekers, the Ishtaghel team sometimes publishes jobs that employers have announced publicly elsewhere, with a link or contact details taken from the original announcement. We publish only the business details the employer already made public. A business that wants such a listing changed or removed, or wants to take over its company page, can write to us at any time.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in and another to remember your language. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
